Weekend in Bournemouth!!!

Bournemouth is a large coastal resort town in the ceremonial county of Dorset and two weeks ago I went there to pass an amazing weekend with some friends that are living there!

There the weather is very similar to Devon and the coast & the public gardens are fantastic!

Besides the city centre is gorgeous, full of shops, people and christmas decorations.

Fair to say that the nightlife is lively and there are many pubs and discos to choose from!

The Cockington Complex

A musical, botanical, theatrical, historical, sociological, geological and mythological walk around the grounds of Cockington Court, Torquay.

The walk take the form of a pilgrimage with tasks and songs, dances and stories.
En route participants encounter the GATT trade talks, the national hickory collection, a sanctuary bar, Sir Edwin Lutyens and much more.

Led by the musicians and performers of the Geotrio:

The Crabman - Phil Smith
Uncle Tacko - Tony Lidington
Aeolian Muso - Hugh Nankivell

with accompaniment from the effervescent duo:

Alfie Weedon - bass fiddle
Beni Weedon - 5-string fiddle

Kents Caverns

At the meeting on Thursday, we visited Kents Caverns, caves full of history.

The caverns and passages at the site were created around 2 million years ago by water action, and have been occupied by one of at least eight separate, discontinuous native populations to have inhabited the British Isles. The specimens discovered here are representative of the era's people (the other representative populations are Pakefield, Boxgrove, Swanscombe, Pontnewydd, Kent’s Cavern/Paviland, Gough's Cave and the present descendants of Celtic lineage).

Undoubtedly Kents Cavern is one of Britain's most special caves.

Halloween!!

This is the flyer I made for Halloween daytime activities in Cockington. The activities were very good and we had a great time!

And at night we dressed up, of course, and this was the result!
